At Ozarks Tech, students can complete one General Scholarship Application to be considered for more than 145 scholarship opportunities. Once submitted, the scholarship system automatically matches students with scholarships based on their qualifications and eligibility criteria. Students do not need to apply separately for individual scholarships.

Students can log in to the scholarship portal at any time to view their application status and monitor scholarship activity. If selected for a scholarship award, next steps and award information will be communicated through the student’s Ozarks Tech email and scholarship portal.

Application Deadlines

• Fall & Summer Semesters: February 1 – June 1
  Apply for summer, fall, and full academic year (fall and spring) scholarship opportunities.
• Spring Semester: September 1 – November 1
  Apply for spring semester scholarship opportunities only.

How to Apply

1. Complete the FAFSA
   Submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is strongly recommended. While not required for every scholarship, completing the FAFSA may increase your eligibility for financial assistance.
2. Complete the General Scholarship Application
   – Sign in using your Ozarks Tech username and password
   – Complete as many application questions as possible to maximize your scholarship opportunities
   – Submit a short essay describing how a scholarship would support your educational goals and success
3. Verify Your Enrollment Status
   Applicants must be enrolled as degree-seeking students at Ozarks Tech. If you are unsure of your academic status, contact your College Navigator.
4. Reapply Each Semester
   Scholarship opportunities may change throughout the academic year. Submitting a new application each semester gives you the best opportunity to be considered for available funding.

What to Expect After Applying

• Application Review
  After the application period closes, submissions are reviewed and scored by the scholarship committee. Every completed application is automatically considered for all eligible Ozarks Tech Foundation and Institutional scholarships.
• Award Notifications
  Recipients are notified through the scholarship portal and their Ozarks Tech email.
  – Summer and Fall academic year awards: Notifications are typically sent by July 1
  – Spring-only awards: Notifications are typically sent by the end of the fall semester
  Please monitor your Ozarks Tech email and scholarship portal regularly for updates and award instructions.
• Review and Accept Your Award
  If selected, scholarship offers can be viewed under the “My Applications” tab in the scholarship portal. Read all award details carefully and complete the acceptance process promptly to ensure timely processing.
• Maintain Your Scholarship
  Recipients are responsible for meeting all scholarship requirements, including maintaining academic progress and completing any additional conditions listed in the award terms.

Types of Scholarships at Ozarks Tech

• Institutional Scholarships
  Scholarships offered by Ozarks Tech based on academic achievement, program of study, leadership, involvement, or financial need.
• Ozarks Tech Foundation Scholarships
  Privately funded scholarships supported by generous donors. The Ozarks Tech Foundation awards more than $650,000 annually to help make education more accessible and affordable. Eligibility criteria vary and may include academic performance, financial need, program of study, leadership, or community involvement.
