Bart "DB" Nelson Memorial

Elizabeth Nelson established the Bart “DB” Nelson Memorial Scholarship in 2025 through the Ozarks Tech Foundation to honor the life and legacy of her late husband, Bart Nelson. The scholarship supports students pursuing an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, helping future aviation professionals build meaningful careers in the field Bart loved.

Bart was a U.S. Air Force veteran and lifelong aviation enthusiast who was known for his kindness, humor, and exceptional mechanical skills. His family created this scholarship to celebrate his passion for aviation and to inspire others to pursue their own paths with the same dedication and enthusiasm he demonstrated throughout his life.
