The Frances Collins Memorial Scholarship was established by Deane Collins in honor of his late wife, Frances, who holds the distinction of being the first registered dental hygienist in Springfield, Missouri.

Frances and Deane moved to Springfield in 1970, bringing with them nearly a decade of experience in the dental field—Frances as a dedicated dental hygienist and Deane as a skilled dental technician. Together, they spent over 40 years serving their community before retiring.
