Jarred Welch Memorial

Jarred Mark Welch, age 23, of Shell Knob, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in a motorcycle accident in Shell Knob. Jarred was born April 29, 1985, in Oklahoma City, to Mary and Lorri (Watts) Welch.

He is survived by his parents; one brother, Dillon Welch of Shell Knob; one sister, Tosha Crumb and her husband, Bryan, of Guthrie; one niece, Raigan Crumb; maternal grandmother, Mary Frates of Crescent; paternal grandmother, Colleen Welch of Sebastian, Fla.; great grandmother, Kathrine Watts of Crescent; and aunts and uncles, Kim and Mark Paskiewicz of Sebastian, Patrick and Susie Welch of Stillwater, Steve and Mia Welch of Charlotte, Fla., Scott Welch of Guthrie, Karen Watson of Crescent and Julie Hanks and Ron Simmons of Crescent.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Loren Watts; paternal grandfather, Ret. Col. USAF Fredrick H. Welch; one uncle, Lance Edward Welch; great grandfather, Sy Watts; and cousin and best friend, Willie J. Welch.

Jarred attended school in Crescent through his junior year and graduated from Cassville, Mo., in 2004. He began working construction with his father at the age of five and turned it into his career after high school. Jarred’s passions included meeting new people, motocross racing and wakeboarding. He rode for Ronix Wakeboards and Williams Bros. Ski and Sports, winning several awards. He was a member of the World Wakeboard Association and a supporter of Bikers Against Child Abuse.
