Peterbilt of Springfield donates two trucks and creates scholarship at OTC
SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Peterbilt of Springfield, Inc., has presented the OTC Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College, with a gift of two diesel tractors, valued at $59,000, for the College’s Transport Training Institute. Additionally, Glenn Larson, owner of Peterbilt of Springfield, has pledged $100,000 to endow the Larson Family Scholarship, designed to assist students in need of financial assistance.
“We are grateful to Peterbilt of Springfield for this generous gift,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, president of Ozarks Technical Community College. “The trucks will provide valuable hands-on opportunities for the students of the Transport Training Institute, and the endowed scholarship will help countless students for years to come to pay for their education.”“This lead gift is a vital contribution to our current campaign, and a demonstration of commitment to our community,” explained Cliff Davis, vice president for Institutional Advancement and executive director of the OTC Foundation. “Glenn Larson recognized the need for these vehicles and for scholarships, and we are thankful for their support of our students.”
