Ozarks Tech Dental Programs

In 2002, OTC Dental Assisting Program Director Dr. Janet Sell created an endowed scholarship fund specifically for students enrolled in the college’s dental programs. Since then, the fund has slowly accumulated thanks to the revenue earned from private donations and continuing education courses for local dental professionals. The Dental Programs Scholarship is a product of compassionate hearts and a shared commitment to supporting OTC students in need.

Dr. Sell attributes the fundraising success to the department’s culture of giving. “The creativity and enthusiasm to raise the money has been nothing short of inspiring,” she said. It has enabled multiple scholarships to be awarded annually, and continued fundraising efforts allow for the number of scholarships to increase. “From our continuing education courses to social events, together, we all make it happen.”
