Ozarks Tech Nursing Program
The OTC Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program’s mission is to prepare students to provide quality health care and function as a member of an interdisciplinary health team. Nursing students learn to apply critical thinking skills within the field as well as promote healthy lifestyles to their patients and communities. The program will equip graduates to fulfill the roles of both care provider and care manager within the healthcare setting.
This is an LPN to ASN program, meaning students must be a licensed practical nurse to apply. The program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Nursing Education and has received full approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The program permits qualifying LPNs to complete the Registered Nursing courses in 36 weeks. Graduates who are eligible to apply should write the NCLEX-RN exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the employment rate for RNs to increase much faster than the average field. Our graduates work in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient departments, physician offices, nursing care facilities, home health care services, government agencies and outpatient care centers.
