Ralph and Helen Ramsey Memorial

Ralph and Helen Ramsey shared a lifelong partnership marked by dedication to community, faith, and family. Married for nearly 68 years, their lives reflected commitment and service in many ways.

Ralph was known for his leadership and passion for his hobbies, serving as president of the Springfield Men’s Bowling Association and the Early Day Gas Engine Association Branch 16, where he was inducted into both their Hall of Fame and the A.B.C. Hall of Fame. He is remembered fondly by his sister, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Helen devoted more than three decades to Southwestern Bell before retiring in 1975. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneer Life Member Club and served in leadership roles within Christian Women’s Connection of Stonecroft Ministries and the EDGE&TA Ladies Auxiliary. Her strong faith was evident in her long-standing participation in the Tuesday Ladies Bible Study at Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Helen’s warmth and thoughtfulness were shown in her treasured tradition of remembering birthdays and anniversaries, making many feel valued and loved.

Though they did not have children, Ralph and Helen cherished their extended family, spoiling many nieces and nephews with love and kindness. They are remembered for their contributions to their communities and the deep bonds they shared with family and friends.
