Ralph & Helen Ramsey
Ralph and Helen Ramsey shared a life grounded in faith, service, and a deep commitment to their community and family. Married for nearly 68 years, they built a legacy defined by generosity, leadership, and meaningful connections with those around them.
Ralph was known for his enthusiasm, leadership, and dedication to the organizations he loved. He served as president of both the Springfield Men’s Bowling Association and the Early Day Gas Engine Association Branch 16 and was honored with induction into multiple halls of fame recognizing his contributions and involvement. His passion for community and fellowship left a lasting impression on many friends and family members.
Helen devoted more than 30 years of service to Southwestern Bell before her retirement in 1975. She remained deeply active in her church and community throughout her life, serving in leadership roles with Christian Women’s Connection of Stonecroft Ministries, the EDGE&TA Ladies Auxiliary, and participating faithfully in Bible study and ministry activities at Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Known for her warmth and thoughtfulness, Helen made others feel remembered and valued through simple acts of kindness and care.
Although Ralph and Helen did not have children of their own, they cherished their extended family and shared a special bond with many nieces and nephews. Together, they lived lives centered on relationships, compassion, and service to others.
