Russell “Kelly” Campbell was a devoted educator, veteran, and community member whose life reflected service, passion, and kindness. Born in Huntingburg, Indiana, Kelly proudly served his country in both the U.S. Air Force and the Army National Guard, exemplifying dedication and sacrifice throughout his military career.
Following his service, Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Missouri State University. He then brought his expertise and enthusiasm for technology to Ozarks Technical Community College, where he taught Computer Electronics and Repair. His commitment to student success and hands-on learning made a lasting impact on many who passed through his classroom.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kelly’s gentle spirit was reflected in his love for gardening, golfing, and fishing, pursuits that brought him joy and connection to nature. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he actively served as a deacon at South Gate Baptist Church, contributing to his community with humility and compassion.
